What historical event fascinates you the most?

My older sister, and I have always said if you weren’t alive when John F. Kennedy was assassinated then your opinion doesn’t matter… It sounds smug to say it, but it’s a historical event that has plagued anyone who lived through it and continues to think about it.

I remember the JFK assassination. I was going to school at St. James elementary and there was a runner who interrupted class and was talking with our teacher. (Sister Mary Discipline) who informed us that the President had been shot and killed. Classes were dismissed and we were told to go home. At home my mother was crying in front of the television and she said I shouldn’t worry and things were going to be alright. Pretty heavy for a 6 year old to handle. Then came 09-11-2001, and the destruction of the twin towers. This changed everyone’s world. Looking for evil men who did this and supported it.
